St. Michaels, Fourth of July

We took the boat to St. Michaels, a water town on the Eastern Shore, on July 4. It took a little more than an hour to get there, cutting through Kent Narrows, about the same time it would have taken if we'd gone by car.

It was hot!

We grabbed lunch at a local seafood house (what else?) and had fun ducking in and out of the little shops on Main Street to cool down.

We hit some weather on our way back to Arnold, when we ran into a pretty big thunderstorm that swept through the area. Thank goodness we had our NOAA weather radio on, and were able to get to Kent Island and take shelter while the storm passed. Be sure to check out Shawn's blog for some of those pictures!
