Closer to Fine

When I lived in Tennessee, one of the things I missed the most about living in Washington was Wolf Trap in the summer. Knoxville had a pretty good music scene, between Sundown in the City and the Tennessee Theater (and of course, the local bluegrass bar scene!), but there's nothing quite like a national park dedicated to the performing arts.

Until last night, I hadn't been to Wolf Trap since we moved back. Thanks to Kathy Gorman for treating me to an early birthday present of a concert and dinner on the lawn. You can't tell from this sad cell phone picture, but those are the Indigo Girls on stage. It was a great show, a nice mix of old favorites and new stuff from their upcoming record. Based on what we heard, we can't wait til the September release date!
