The weather forecast was for more COLD, wet weather, so we decided to take off for the weekend. After boarding Crockett at the "doggy hotel" in Arnold, we pointed the Honda north and ended up in Philadelphia for the weekend. Shawn got a great deal on a room at the Loews Hotel in downtown Philly. We found out too late that this chain caters to pet owners, and that our pooch would have been most welcome in our hotel room.We caught up with Jennifer Hawk and John Klinkose for dinner on Saturday night. They live in the Art Museum neighborhood, a neighborhood full of eclectic and undiscovered shops and restaurants and bars. It was good to see them and to meet Sophia, their recently-adopted lab mix puppy.
