We've been watching a pair of Mallards, whom we've named Larry and Larryette, since we moved in to the house. It's not hard, as they've taken up residence on our dock and in the marsh grasses at the Shore Acres Neighborhood Association park next door.We were thrilled when we noticed the other day that their family has expanded to include eight ducklings. I don't think I have to worry about James and Lillian, as Larryette is a very protective mother and her brood are already excellent swimmers!
