What? You're Not Going To Play With Me?

Crockett frolics in the aftermath of yesterday's storm. We got somewhere between 6 - 10 inches. It's hard to tell because it's very cold and the snow is very fine powder and doesn't stay in one place very long.
Blue sky and sunshine today is a nice contrast to the wall of gray yesterday. It's not supposed to warm up much 'til later in the week so we'll have snow on the ground for a few days.

Whoo-eee!

Our new boat still isn't ready, but some of Shawn's friends took pity on him and let him tag along on a fishing trip. I think he's glad he went!

Our Vacation Plans

Since a couple people have asked, here's a link to our vacation.

Yea!

Jet Setters

Looking forward to vacation in February: our passports came in the mail yesterday. The format sure has changed since my first passport, where the picture was laminated on to a page in the book.

This is positively high tech!

What Did You Do Yesterday?

I bought a boat....

Though we signed all the papers, we won't take possession for a couple weeks while the builder customizes the hull to our specs.

Shawn's excited.

In the meantime, we need to fix up the Sea Ray before we can sell it this spring. Anyone want a well-loved, well-used Express Cruiser?

Terrapin Nature Area

Tom Brady wasn't having a good day, and I couldn't bear to watch the end of the game, so we took Crockett for a late afternoon walk on the beach at the Terrapin Nature Area.

We've been looking at the iced-in shore every day when we drive across the bridge, but wanted to get a closer look. It's definitely frozen solid!

Shawn Hasn't Been Fishing Lately...

.... because his boat ramp is iced in!

Crockett Likes Playing In The Snow

He doesn't even notice the cold!

Snowy Morning

When I got up today, I found a coat of fluffy snow blanketing the yard - maybe two inches. It's been so cold that the snow is fine powder and won't make good snowballs.

I took these pictures before the wind started to blow and knocked all the snow off the branches.

First Sunset of 2010

Cape Henlopen State Park, Delaware.

The Kids

We promised Ella that when she came to visit us, we'd take her to the beach to hunt for seashells and to play freeze tag. As you can see from the photos, the "freeze" part wasn't hard!

In this photo: Shelly, Cory, Daniel (with Tuck bundled under a windbreaker), Tiffany, Ella, and Jacob.
